Preparing for your Massage
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Do not eat just before your massage
  • Give yourself plenty of time to arrive in time and relaxed
  • Arrive showered and clean
Intake questions
You will be asked to provide the following information:
  • Medical history
  • Medical conditions
  • Areas of concern
  • Location of pain
Your therapist will ask you several questions about medical history.
  • Use of any pharmaceutical drugs or botanical medicines.
  • What are your goals for massage?
  • Do you have any apprehensions or concerns?
  • What are your expectations?
During your massage
  • Draping: Your therapist will cover you with a cloth, and will never expose any areas you identify to keep covered. Only the area the therpist is working on will be uncovered.
  • Music: Your therapist will most likely play soft music to aid in relaxation. Be sure to let your therapist know if you prefer differnt music, or none at all.
  • Passive Participation: You will experience a more fulfilling experience if you concentrat on relaxing by breathing slowly and deeply while trying to relax and free your mind of any thoughts.
