Preparing for your Massage
Drink plenty of water
Do not eat just before your massage
Give yourself plenty of time to arrive in time and relaxed
Arrive showered and clean
You will be asked to provide the following information:
Areas of concern
Location of pain
Your therapist will ask you several questions about medical history.
Use of any pharmaceutical drugs or botanical medicines.
What are your goals for massage?
Do you have any apprehensions or concerns?
What are your expectations?
During your massage
Draping: Your therapist will cover you with a cloth, and will never expose any areas you identify to keep covered. Only the area the therpist is working on will be uncovered.
Music: Your therapist will most likely play soft music to aid in relaxation. Be sure to let your therapist know if you prefer differnt music, or none at all.
Passive Participation: You will experience a more fulfilling experience if you concentrat on relaxing by breathing slowly and deeply while trying to relax and free your mind of any thoughts.
